The scaredy-cat is doing NaNoWriMo this year: how will this go?

This year I'm proud to announce that I have finally gotten up my courage to participate in NaNoWriMo.

I've been thinking about it for a few years, but whenever NaNoWriMo time comes around I always loose nerve and decide 'next year'. But this year, I've decided to take a leap and do it.

It's not like I don't want to do NaNo, but I'm seriously afraid of loosing. I'm a terrible looser. It's bad of me, I know, but I can't help it.

This year, I've done some reading of other peoples' NaNo experiences, I've decided that it is too awesome to not do because of a little bit of a challenge.

In fact, I reckon this will be good for me. I love writing, but sometimes I lack the drive to do it. This challenge should help me get going with it.

My next posts might be about a lot writing prep and thoughts. I want to make sure I'm prepared for this. I've left it very late and I have no idea what I'm writing about.

Hopefully I can come up with some kind of novel plan before NaNo starts. If not, who cares? I will make something up on the spot, hehehe!

Are you participating in NaNo this year? What's your surname?

  1. Good job signing up for NaNoWriMo! I'm sure you'll do really well. It really is motivating. I have to say, nothing makes me want to write more than looking at the little graph on the website and seeing that it hasn't gone up for the day yet. Makes me wish I had one of those all year round.
